Today’s nomination shines from Mr. Flemmer in 5F! We are thrilled to celebrate this outstanding student for consistently shining as a leader both inside and outside the classroom.
In the classroom, this student leads through his actions, encouraging others to follow PAWS Expectations and setting the tone for a respectful and responsible learning environment. At recess, he shows kindness and inclusivity by welcoming anyone who wants to join in his soccer games.
This kiddo's willingness to include others and make everyone feel part of the team is a wonderful example of leadership, friendship, and what it means to let your light Shine Bright! ✨

🌟 GOOD NEWS CALL OF THE DAY! 🌟
Today’s nomination comes from Mrs. DeBoer to a student in 3M who showed true kindness and sportsmanship on the playground. While playing gaga ball, a friend fell — and instead of continuing the game, he paused, held onto the ball, and made sure his friend was okay before playing again.
This caring choice is a perfect example of showing respect, practicing safety, and letting your light Shine Bright! ✨

Today we are celebrating one of our JK students for going above and beyond to help a friend in the classroom. With a classmate’s arm in a brace, she showed incredible kindness—helping with a water bottle, putting items into a backpack, and even helping finish a very challenging puzzle that her friend couldn’t do alone.
She made some amazing choices today, and Mrs. Miller is so proud of her! Way to be a true TIGER and let your light Shine Bright through kindness and helping others! ✨🐾

Today at recess, one of our JK students showed incredible kindness and leadership. When they noticed a friend without a swing, they chose to stop their turn so their classmate could have a chance.
This moment of sharing and taking turns is a perfect example of following our PAWS expectations, thinking of others, and creating a caring community. We are so proud of the way this student let their light shine bright! ✨👏

Today’s shout-out comes from Ms. Wiertzema, who nominated a student from Mrs. Mooney’s class! 🎨
This 1M kiddo had the BEST day ever by being a role model for their peers. They followed our ARTIST expectations - sitting Mona Lisa Style, showing responsibility with the clean-up timer, and demonstrating positive Habits of Mind like persistence, responsibility, and thinking interdependently. His leadership and positive choices helped their classmates shine too. ✨👏

🎧 Headphone Update!
1st graders will be using new iPads with USB-C ports, which means they’ll need headphones with a USB-C connection. These iPads will stay with them for the next four years, so they can use the same headphones each year!
All other grades will continue using iPads with a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, so there’s no need to change anything if your student already has headphones.
Please check the graphic below to see the difference in the ports. We ask that ALL grade levels bring WIRED headphones, no Bluetooth.
Please reach out to Mrs. Keupp if you have questions or need help getting headphones for your child.

We’re looking for PARTICIPANTS and COACHES for this fall’s season — starting September 9 and running Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:25–4:55pm.
