sun meals to go

HARRISBURG, S.D. — The Harrisburg School District is offering the SUN Meals To-Go Program this summer to help ensure children in the community continue to have access to nutritious meals while school is out. Breakfast and lunch will be available at no cost to all children 18 years of age and younger. Children do not need to reside in or attend school in the district to receive meals.

Meal pick-up will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., beginning May 29 through August 10, at Door E of the Heritage Building, 200 E. Willow Street in Harrisburg, on the east side of the building.

The Meals To-Go program provides families with a convenient grab-and-go option throughout the summer. Tuesday pick-ups will provide meals for Tuesday through Thursday, while Friday pick-ups will provide meals for Friday through Monday.

In addition to meal distribution, families attending pick-up will also receive support with online registration for the upcoming school year, assistance with the Free & Reduced Lunch application, and access to community and school resources.

Interested families should visit the Harrisburg School District website to sign up for the SUN Summer Meals To-Go program. The district says the program reflects its continued commitment to supporting children and families throughout the summer months.
